Haley Tu-Nhi Tran: October 2009

Today was the most biggest memorable moment of our lives, the day our little precious girl Haley Tu-Nhi Tran was born!! It all started with an uneventful Thursday morning, Duy was at work & I was at home just getting settled down for the week. I had just officially taken off for maternity leave at work 2 wks before Haley's due date for November 11. I was feeling a little different that morning & thought to myself if my water broke yet!!! I was a little unsure, but throughout the day the signs seem to progress. Even to this point I didn't feel any contractions, but called my doctor anyways. Around 4:30pm.. my doctor confirmed me to start heading to the hospital. So then I called Duy to come home & get me packed & off we go to the hospital.
    Arriving at the hospital, I think Duy & I were still in shock that this was actually happening!!! I don't think it really hit us until the nurse in the Triage confirmed that my water did break & this was the real thing!!! I had a pretty uneventful labor, didn't even really feel my contractions much even with Pitocin given. After a few hrs of waiting for my labor to progress, I opted to get my epidural.
    Soon after 8 hrs with me pushing for 40 mins, out came our beautiful baby girl!!! She had a head full of black hair & just big black eyes!!!! She came out with her eyes open & fully alert, didn't even really cry much until the nurses starting fussing with her to get all her measurements & vitals!!! :-)
   Haley weighed in at 6 lbs 9 oz & 19.5 inches long!
The first moment Duy & I saw our baby girl, our hearts instantly melted!!! We couldn't believe what a miracle she was!! She was this tiny little angel that God gave to the both of us!!! I couldn't ask for a better delivery & Haley coming out all happy & healthy!!!
